So far the ones that have caught my eye are the Al Polkowski Amigo and Small Nomad. Any thoughts on those or any other recommendations?

Kit Carson F4. Small yet easy to grip, cuts great and comes with a super nice sheath.

Hey Buddy, do yourself a favor and take a look at Neil Blackwoods new Neck Ninja Hd ( Heavy Duty ), you won't be disappointed !! It is one bad blade and lucky me, i got the first one !!!

Take Care and Good Luck, Mario C. AKA-Box27 :D

I carry a Walley Hayes Damascus Typhoon( beautiful and sharp as hell ) keep it oiled and it's as practical as any neck knife . Good luck in your search.

Eventho' I don't wear 'em much, I like my 2 REKAT Hobbit Fang neck knives. I have wrapped the handle of one of them with "Agrip" and it feels (and looks) pretty good.

The one I have is the Mini Police Necklace ( Model # MN07 from Spydy )is a charm. Overall lenght 3 1/3. Blade 1 5/16 , TI handle , an ATS-34 steel ,come with 22" sterling silver chain. Gave it to my wife for her birthday, she loved it.
Should check into Cold Steel like The MiniPAL , or the Tanto PARA Edge ,MINI TAC, for the money it just can't go wrong ( check your local and state law for these Cold Steel, I can't get the Para edge up here )

The sheath shown here is a leather pocket style but a custom sheath is no problem.

Don't have much experience with neck knives as I really don't like hanging stuff around my neck. My only two examples of this type of knives are the La Griffe and the Camillus Arclite (420HC).

I'd put a vote in for the La Griffe any day. Comfortable, secure grip and a really secure sheath. I like how it snaps in to the sheath. The Arclite just doesn't feel right going in to the sheath. There isn't a reassuring snap.

On the area of cutting, the La Griffe factory edge needs to be thinned down slightly, but then performs wonderfully. The Arclite is OK, but lacks something. When I can put that into words, I'll tell you.

Others may have better experiences with other knives, certainly I've heard good things about the Busse Assault Shaker and the Woo Pecker, but I can only tell you what I've actually tried out.

My vote goes to my RJ Martin Handiman. Very light and REALLY Sharp!! Great recurve design. Excellent defensive design - everything you need and nothing you don't!

I found the ArcLite just slightly too long for comfortable carry. Just personal preference, but the MicroTech Medallion is the one I've settled on.

I'm fond of the Emerson La Griffe, but I like the Medallion's blade shape better.
