The mail carrier came down to the house today and dropped off a package, which had me puzzeled at first. I couldn't recall ordering anything that would be arriving today.

Then I noticed the return address was from Leesa Martin, David's lovely wife and to my great surprise and excitment the beauty below was in the box! Leesa had attended a school on engraving in recent months and was kind and thoughtful enough to make me a gift of one her new projects.

I couldn't be prouder and more appreciative Leesa, thank you so much. :D

I think Leesa and I will get our heads together soon and come up with some ideas for some nice scrimshaw work to do on it.

Hmmmm, I posted this, then went to dinner. When I came home I saw that the thread was locked. I have no idea how that happened, but since I was able to unlock it myself, I must have locked it somehow.

Wow Dave,

That's fantastic work! Leesa is a true artist.

That is Beautiful! What a gift she has! Can't wait to see whatever scrim you two cook up together with the Engraving...

She's a very talented women and you have some very fine knives from her, congrats to you both!

Congratulations. That is a beautiful knife. You are fortunate to receive a great gift like that. It looks good as is. Scrimshaw will only enhance it's beauty.

How do you lock a thread Dave? You must have moderator power... Cue the soundtrack from Jaws. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCfWHqrYUqo

Treasure fit for a king. The engraving enhances the knife and scrimshaw, how about the New Mexico or California state birds Road Runner & California Quail respectively, will make it quite a fancy folder.

Congrats on your beautiful 110 Plumberdv!! That had to brighten your day considerably. Looking forward to seeing what you eventually decide for the scrimshaw.

David Martin's wife Leesa and perterinct both do the type of engraving with the scroll work that I like a lot!!:thumbup:

Now that you can lock threads, you have GREAT censoring powers!! :D

David must have some of the sweetest bucks in his collection.LOL.She sure takes a plain knife and turns it into a work of art bye!
