There's a great deal of discussion going on about the newest models from Camillus but not much is said about the old tried and true models.
I've had a USMC Combat Knife (Model 5684K) with the Kydex Sheath for several months and have been extremely pleased with it. For around $35, it performs admirably. I probably won't go out and try cutting any rocks with it but it sure gets cutting chores done around here.
When this knife first arrived from Knifecenter.com, the edge was disappointingly dull and I thought the knife was going to go in the drawer and never come out again. After a few days, I decided to try and sharpen it and put it to some hard use. This knife takes a razor's edge and seems to hold it for a long time. Again, not too shabby for a sub-50-dollar knife.
If you haven't had the chance to check this one out, do yourself a favor and get one (or two.) Sure, I can spend more money for a knife (and I have) but I don't have to in order to get a great cutter.
Keep up the good work,
