Sick of black and tan?

I've been going with a green theme for my EDC stuff.

Anyone else have some green stuff?

I have never seen anyone carry a scalpel outside of a model maker or surgeon and they usually leave them at work or with their models. Mind if I ask why? Its unique so Im just curious is all.

I actually picked this up on the exchange not too long ago. I do mixed media art that often involves collaging and I grabbed this from Phillip Patton as an Xacto replacement. It also works really well for general knife uses, like opening mail, and cutting string or tape, plus as you said, it's unique :)

Nice job on those!

I'm toying with the idea of dyeing my Spyderco DF 2 Salt, what did you use?
Thanks.

Dark green liquid rit dye. Heated it up on the stove, added a bit of vinegar. Once boiled took it off the heat and dunked the scales for a minute or two. I took the knife apart but I've also done it with no disassembly. I'm going to make a thread about how it holds up in chlorinated pool water in the spyderco subforum soon so look for that.

Thanks, I'll try it and see how it goes.

I have a new Dawson Mercury in Damascus with desert ironwood (Olneya tesota) scales. They are grey one moment, brown the next, and green in still another. As soon as I get pics squared away and can capture the green, I'll post here.
