EKI refers to the Hard Chomed finish as "Satin", or "SF" in their product coding.
In 1998 they used a real, uncoated Satin finish. Since 1999 "Satin" has been a Hard Chrome coating. The was also a single run of Chromium Nitrate (aka "CN") Commanders and CQC7Bs, there are from 1999 and are maked "CN" on the blade.
