I am almost at a loss for words. Something that my wife says rarely happens.
A week or so back I had the privilege of gifting one of our young family members here on the porch his 1st Case knife. Tim Ryouchijtx, recently stated that he had yet to experience the Case brand. Well being an old Case fan since back in the early 70s, I thought I would seize the opportunity. By now most of you have seen his posts with the Texas Jack, Amber Bone, CV model, that I gifted Tim. I personally looked on the event as a feel good story for all involved, both Tim and myself and most on the forum based on all the positive comments. I gave Tim the knife never wanting or expecting anything in return, except his friendship. This is what I feel is the most important thing we can share here on the porch.
Now we will fast forward to yesterday. My wife and I took a day trip to a town that is a couple of hours drive from home. When we arrived home we were unloading the car and Pam said she would get the mail. She came walking back up the driveway saying you got a package. I said that I didn't order anything. I asked her who it was from and she said Tim, before she could say anything else I knew I had been had, and good!
Tim had warned me that he would get me back. To shorten the story I am posting the gift that Tim gave me. I had made the statement earlier in Primbles #92 thread that I did not own a model #92 and that I might have to remedy that someday. I had been admiring all the Eurekas and Talons being posted. They are some beautiful knives to be sure.
The package I received contained a #922114 Che Chen Rosewood Serial #18 of 25. This in laymans terms means simply a #92 Talon, Spear Point with some beautiful Rosewood handles. Also included in the package was the nicest hand written note I have every received from anyone. Tim not only describes how a Magic Gnome, which I am almost positive has a big smile on his face and is wearing a Bow Tie in his Avatar photo, helped him in the Shenanigans that were most assuredly involved in this whole thing. Tim also has some talent that has been unknown to us. Check out the pencil sketch of the 92 that he did on the note. The detail is amazing. Thank you my young friend! I will cherish the knife and the note!
This photo does not do the knife justice, but I wanted everyone to be able to see the note. I will post more of the knife later. What a blessing this place truly is.
Tim, why do you think I would need a Band-Aid?
