Well Im officially going to chalk up my first knife loss. A very desirable spyderco stretch in carbon fiber knife that was in a bag I took with me to a local park a few days ago. I dunno why I put it in the bag in the first place and why I thought clipping it to an exposed outer pocket was a good idea. Ive combed the area three times already and haven't been able to find it, I informed the park staff and left a description and contact info just in case someone does find and return it. Sad to see it go and if I never see it again I hope that whoever finds it enjoys it as much as I did.

Losing a knife can be tough, and I know what its like. But keep in mind that others today are losing things - and people - which cannot be replaced. So perhaps fill up your piggy bank, get yourself another sweet CF Stretch, and be thankful. This is not to diminish your loss. But everything is relative.

agreed I'm really glad I'm not faced with one millionth of the problems other people have to deal with daily. I'm going to keep my eye out for another stretch, in the mean time the CF caly 3.5 is calling my name.

Ouch, that hurts! I feel your pain man. I lost a Tenacious and that was bad enough! I can just imagine something like the one you lost. I hope it pops up....

I feel your pain. 2 weeks ago I lost one of my grey para 2 sprints at work. I have no idea what happened to it. I realized after I left the job that it wasn't in my pocket. It hurts.

Ouch. I thought I had lost my Manix 2 lightweight at work but it turned up a couple days later. Those couple of days I just felt like someone punched me in the gut, the only comforting things was it was a easy knife to replace. I can't imagine losing a PM2 sprint run.

I have another one in reserve so it isn't as bad as it could be. Now I'm on the hunt for another backup!

Man that sucks, if I recall correctly the grey handled sprint had cts-20cp steel. The para sprints are hard to replace, I got lucky JDunn709 on the forum referred me to a site which seems to be on of the last places that had a CF stretch in stock. Who knows one might just pop back into your life before you know it. Life is weird that way I started this week with a missing cf stretch and it looks like i might end it with a stretch, a caly 3.5 and a nishijin all in CF.

Yup it sure blows to lose a blade, I lost my all black pm2 a few months back. "I think it was actually stolen, but no real difference in the end result. I replaced it with a digicam dlc model.

I have only lost one knife since I got really into them (I did lose a few knives back when I didn't know anything or consider them a big deal), a 2008 Alox Vic Soldier. I just had it at work, then it wasn't there when I got home, and nobody reported seeing it. Sucks, but all things considered, with how many knives I have carried, things I have done with them, and my like for setting them all out on my desk on down time, I am pretty lucky to have only lost one. Too bad its an out of production model, not as easy to replace as I would like. Thinking I will replace it with an Alox Farmer, if I can find a colored one for a not insane price.

I have only lost one, a CF/ S90V Para2. Technically I didn't lose it, my wife did, but it is gone. It went over the side of the boat into the Gulf of Mexico so no one ever gets to enjoy that one again. They are just too darn expensive to replace it. It was too expensive then just a month or two after they came out. I haven't looked how much they are going for now, but I bet it is ridiculous. She got me a gray replacement which is nice, but just not the same.

SUPER OUCH on that one. Your prolly just turned 20 of those knives into safe queens for their current owners, just from thinking about losing it like that. Hope you catch something else that makes you forget about it one day.
