My Uncle Ralph passed at home in Texas this morning, with his wife and kids and grandkids around him. A retired E6 from active Army, a Viernam vett, a quiet man, a good man. When I became an officer at 21 after 3 years enlisted, OCS, became full of myself for a while and Uncle Ralph showed up at my BOQ and brought me back down to earth. We will miss you, Ralph.

Sorry to hear of your Loss in the Family.

Thoughts and Prayers for you and your Family.

It is funny how people can effect you. Your uncle made you a better man is my guess. When he brought you back down to earth I am guessing he was seeing himself in you and knew just what to say so you could see yourself for who you really were. That is a gift given to few. An insight understood by only the wise.

God bless his soul.

" A simple soldier died today". He was your best role model at a critical point in your life .
