I went for a hike today with the dog(oscar), and my bk2. The spot I went is about 15 min from my house, and about 45 min from downtown MPLS. It's not exactly wilderness but it is pretty quiet, and the trails are nice. It's right along the MN river valley. We did about 7.4 km, and oscar started strong but by the time we got back to the car he was ready to stop. Anyways hope you guys enjoy the pics :D

He gets so impatient with me sometimes

This is a big boulder in the middle of a field. I would guess it's 20 feet high and 50 feet accross

Sometimes dogs can be more comforting than people to have around. Looks like a nice hike, thanks for the pics.

nice!

how come ya didnt stick ur hand down in that hole and see what kinda critter lives down there? LMAO

I am pretty sure it was vacant since the dog didn't go bananas, he is pretty good at finding that stuff :)

yay doggie buddy

sweet rock. i'd be climbing that :>

The sheath I made, and the liners I got in trade and I think flexx made em.

I was looking for a way up, but I figured I didn't wana hike out alone with a broken leg ;) My roomate got up there once, said it was cool.

That is one bad-ass dog; Oscar reminds me of my grandparents' dog 'Bailey'.

Who's the ugly guy in those pics? I hope he wasn't following you around all day :p

Thanks for the pics buddy, looks like a good time!

awesome pics. I had a fun day out too. Maybe at one point, i was looking to the sky at the exact same time you were.....we had a moment......i felt it.....

(somewhere out there from the fival movie plays in the background)

great pics thanks for sharing. seems like it was a nice hike. I wonder if you or Oscar had more fun? my guess is on him.

I felt that too, I remember I was peeing behind a tree and I looked up...my bk2 felt it too, it started glow ;)

Nice hike!

I got out myself today and brought along my BK11. I am completely jealous of your hiking dog.

Also - SWEET POO PACK.

He loves the trail, and does great off leash. He has logged many miles with me and my roommate.

Pretty awesome.....nice terrain

Yeah, it gets a bit muddy in the low spots but this year has been so dry. Last year half the trail I did was under water till summer. Wish we had mountains round here, but I'll settle for river valleys.

Oscar is the man. I used to have a sheltie that would stop at a fork in the trail and look back at me for a hand signal. Hikin' dogs are the best.
Thanks for the great pics.

Yeah oscar does the same thing. And when I tell him far enough, he waits with an impatient look.

Nice hike. Yeah, I prefer to hike with my dog as well. He don't talk much and he doesn't mind when I fart from upwind.
