When I first got into knives I spent hours and hours pouring over online search results, looking at pictures, watching auction sites, etc. Just looking at all the different brands and models. I found a knife that I just had to have- but could never find! An import from Finland with less than a handful of US dealers, none of which kept a regular stock or could be bothered to order one for me. Except for the pccasional glimpse on an auction site at an outrageous price I never could run one to ground. Lo and behold yesterday I busted out my Google Fu and searched them up again finding a site that listed several models- including the one I wanted!- at the best prices I have seen, but all out of stock. I emailed the site for gits and shiggles, not expecting a response. I recieved a very nice response within an hour letting me know the knives had just been recieved and would be listed today. I got another email this morning saying they were listed and I ordered one immediately. A short while later I recieved another email along with shipping verification. (Not wanting to offend the forum gods I can't name the site.)

So there it is, after almost 2 years of searching, an Enzo Birk is on its way to me, CF, no bolsters, D2 and Scandi grind. Not the most expensive or glamorous, but I sure have wanted one. And it sure was hard to track down. I'm jittery with anticipation.

Next on my list? Klotzli Sailor. Or Fantoni Hide. Or...

Got it today and absolutely love it! Here's some porn for you!

This thing is definately the sharpest knife I've ever recieved. It is the proverbial "scary sharp." Buttery smooth and feels good in the hand. Just ordered a Ti lanyard tube from TiSurvival to dangle from it. I think it will be damn near the perfect edc. And as a bonus I didn't know they had moved the pocket clip to be deep carry. The original placement was the only thing I didn't like about it. Can't wait to show this beauty off at the knife shop tomorrow. I always get a kick out of dangling something in front of him he's never seen before.
