A hunter and a wharncliffe

Here are a couple I just got some shots of. The hunter is new, it's about 8 1/2 inches long, made of 1095, 15N20, Massure birch, and the spacer is pine-cone. The sheath also has an inset of pine-cone.

I call the Wharncliffe a desk knife. It's for an executive type to cut apples, open letters and pick fingernails with during executive meetings. I made this one a little bit ago and borrowed it back for these shots. I'm working on one like it for a frequent contributor here.

It uses Asiatic goat horn and ebony and is about six inches overall.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks for having a look at them.

hey, where ya been buddy?

I think that wharnie is super cool! Nice sheath, cover, scabbord.........whats that called? Whatever it is I like allot.

I been just working, I feel guilty writing on here too much when customers are waiting for knives. Struggling with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and that slows me down more. I've been keeping track of things on here though.

sorry to hear about the CTS Mark, glad you're still lurking around tho!:)

never been better Mark, thanks for asking!
That little desk knife, I like it a lot! Let's talk bikes again someday soon;):D

I'm ALWAYS pleased when I unveil one of Mark's suprises.

This little desk knife caught me completely off guard. Very.... Deco-ish shape and styling. More suited from Manhattan than Fairbanks! (Although that might be where it's heading? LOL!)

Mark: Always a pleasure. :D

Mark, both are beauties, but you no doubt know exactly which model I like the most. Both are gorgeous.

Good to "hear ya" on here!

Best,

Bob

NICE work Mark. I especially like the wharnie, and the materials on the hunter are really eye catching. The birch is SWEET! I am curious about the "pine-cone". Is it actually pine cones stabilized?

Coop-

I can assure you that the wharncliffe Mark refers to is not headed anywhere toward Manhattan. More like a big Rock on the central California coast.

Yep, it is stabilized pine-cone.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

That's a fitting place for it. None better. :D

Good stuff.

I'm pretty blown away by the handle on the wharncliffe. I feel like it overpowers the blade, though. I'd like to see the same handle treatment on, say, a foot-long wharncliffe. :D
