a interesting/odd wood for handles that no one uses

(steel/file/chise/saw design=mrostov's creation. this is just one i made using his as a model)

wood = pyracantha. if you banzai tree the bush, you can grow it into a tree of sorts. we had cut ours down, and the wood cured over about 2 years outside, so i figured, what they hey, its good practice wood if nothing else. turned out pretty nice, its a very light hardwood, with a very light and pale grain structure. it feels smooth and soft in the hand, not quite featherweight, but certainly doesnt feel as substantial as it actually is.

(also, the link at the bottom of that thread that leads to the busse NIP page has a nice paracord handle wrap tha can be used on round handles like this one)
