Since Joe Allen has arrived here at Bladeforums, I thought it would be prudent to show off one of his knives. I got this one from Vince (VCM3) a while back. It has great stag and is near flawless. The only thing wrong with it is the pen blade hits if you let it snap closed. A good sharpening should fix this little issue.

Do you have a knife made by Joe Allen? Let's see them!

If your going to have two different steels.... that's a great combo. Sweet looking knife too.

Morrow, that's a nice looking knife. I really like the stag... That blade rap can be cured pretty quick as you said... Congrats on the knife.....

Wow! That's quite a combination of blade steels.

Beautiful knife!

Nice !

morrowj. . . . .what about closed length and blade lengths? :)

The knife is 3 1/2'' closed....5 7/8 '' open.

I'll measure the blade lengths once I get caffeinated.

On this one...Joe called me & says,"I made one close to what you ordered,so I figured I'd let you have the option of buying........"
One look at the stag & I was writing a check
He told me he always wanted to do 2 steels on one knife,so he did
He said the stag was from a BP,that he re - did & the stag was re useable for this smaller knife He said it was such nice stag that he wanted to use it
The main blade of this knife is a great one, too, very useful
Joe makes a great knife.I had a 4" BP Allen I let go & it was a mistake,it was an as near perfect slipjoint folder as any maker could do.Joe's knives are sturdy ,smooth & sharp. Real nice guy, too.Great knife & thread J.

I always fantasized about 2 different steels in one knife. Well I guess it does exist!

Man that is a great looking job by Joe and the two blade steels is a first see for me.

Thanks Vince,

I was hoping you would jump in here and fill us in on the story behind this one. :D

Great stag on that one morrow_j.
Here's saddlehorn in red jigged bone, pinched bolster, long swedge, S30V, about 3 5/8 inches.

I have a couple of Joe's Saddlehorns and they are near perfect! I will have to look for the pictures of them.
