I want to THANK our esteemed colleague here jon_slider for his incredible kindness in a surprise gift that has put a huge smile on my face... a Blood Red bone #15 Radio Jack!

I recieved it yesterday and I'm VERY impressed with it. Once again Charlie has hit one out of the park! Outstanding job by GEC and what a beautiful #15 this is. FF is excellent and the Blood Red bone is perfectly done with nice jigging. The cap-lifter served me well at a retirement party last nite also on it's first day in my pocket :)

This knife was an incredibly gracious and thoughtful GIFT from our beloved jon_slider. He and I had been talking about it for a long time during it's build phase and I'd been ranting about wanting one in Blood Red bone for weeks. Then something came up that sort of strained my budget and I mentioned that I was going to have to pass on this #15 as I needed to divert the funds to something else. Unbeknownst to me he contacted Charlie and ordered this beautiful knife and had it sent to me! I'm floored by the thoughtfulness of this gesture and cannot thank Jonathan enough. This had been a knife I'd been very excited about and looking forward to, but due to events was going to have to pass by, which was a knightmare for a knife knut of course! :) Well Jonathan, the outstanding and thoughtful person that he is, stepped up and made sure I had one nonetheless!

Thank you my friend! It has gone straight into my RF pocket and I carry and use it with pride :)

Congrats, that's an outstanding gift! I love mine in ebony. Kudos to Jon for the generosity in making sure you get to appreciate what is really a terrific knife.

Excellent news!!! Congrats on the knife and Jon is to be congratulated for his generosity as well!:thumbup:

I've said it before and will continue to say it---you two are true assets to this Traditional family

That's a very decent gesture. The bone is wonderful, here's an experimental close-up by way of congratulations to giver and receiver.

Way cool Jon! A stunner knife Jeff! Love the jigging and color a lot. Enjoy that one my friend.

Beautiful photo, congratulations!
Backstory
I tried to keep it secret until it arrived, but one day Jeff mentioned he was planning to sell off some of his other knives. One thing led to another, and I expressed interest in this Gorgeous Ivory Congress:

Being the extremely generous man that he is, Jeff refused payment and sent me the congress as a gift. I think He is the hero in this story. Im extremely grateful, Love the ivory, and really enjoy the Wharnie, both of which are firsts for me.

Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and kindness. Im still struggling with accepting such a valuable gift, but he wont even let me send him another knife to fill the gap. All I could do was send him a coin, to allay my sense of being beholden.

Im so glad the Bottle Jack finally reached you, and that it was in time for your retirement Bash! Thank you for your friendship. I smile every time I touch this Ivory, you have moved me deeply.
