It's GAW time and yup there's beef... Steve Johnson shipped me some beef patties and I really liked them so I thought I'd share them with the winner of this GAW. What you will get is a 3 pack of 4 patties at 1/3 pound each direct from Nebraska Star Beef aka Steve Johnson and a stripped BK 16 with black sheath with black loop set up from me.

How to enter:
It is hotter then hell over here in California and we got a ton of forest fires going on right now with no rain in site, so lets see your wintriest rainy/snow day pictures with Beckers and or Adventure Blade knives, Your post is you entry number, please only ONE entry per person, any over seas folks can enter but I am not 100% on shipping meat to other counties so you guys just might only get the knife and sheath.

This GAW is for Beckerheads only but I will not disqualify your entry if you are not a member, I will announce the winner August 17th 12 noon pacific time. Have fun and enjoy them burgers!! I know I did.

Thanks for the chance at this generous GAW!

Here's one of me and the boy in the park by our house carving this past winter. He loves the BK13!

Sadly i don't have any pics with my Beckers visible in this blizzard though my bk17 was on my pack in the truck shown at the time this was taken haha

over 110 inches of snow in 6 weeks... that was not fun!

It was annoying me that the bk17 wasn't visible in the above pics sooooo.... Here's one extra pic that's cold and icy of my bk14! Lol

I'm in CA as well... and yeah, this drought beyond sucks. I'm with you there :/. Its annoying, as winter is my favorite season (grew up all over the US), but here in CA where I am we just don't get it. I'm enjoying all of these cold photos though :D.

And, as luck would have it, the BK16 has been at the top of my wish list ever since I took part in the pre-production BK17 passaround review.

These photos are all from my parents cabin up in Northern AZ. Its not on much property (2acre?) but it borders national forest. When we got there for this reunion, a snowstorm from a few days ago had brought down 4-5 smallish pine trees and they were blocking access to the driveway, and the trail that entered the national forest. My parents had forgotten the chainsaw back in the valley in the rush to get everyone to the cabin in time, so they actually didn't have a way to break those up at the time. I had brought my ZK War sword and BK9 just to play around with, but it turns out they did lots of work.

And the ZK isn't a JAB, but it shares the same handle shape. And while the BK9 did the majority here... I don't actually have many shots of it in use. You know how it goes.

My brother and law and I did most of the work chopping, and limbing the sections of the tree to get it manageable to move out of the road. Was great fun, and a surprise opportunity to show the family how useful good tools can be.

Here you can see me (left) with the BK9 on my hip, and my little corona saw working on this one.

I'm back right here, with my BIL, and a few assorted nephews who "helped" us move branches, etc.

And here I am dual fisting kabar choppers. I had finished making my micarta for the war sword right before the trip, so I kept switching between the BK9 and the War Sword to see if I needed to "fine tune" the micartas shape at all.

And... This one is just for kicks. I love this photo. Its taken at the same location, just a year earlier, during the first day of a multi-day storm.

Anyway, thanks for the chance.

This past winter on Ortley Beach @ 8 degrees the dune had frozen...

Thank for the chance!

Cool giveaway, thanks for the chance JD! Here's my entry:

Cold day on the lake last winter. I remember with the wind chill temps were going down to -26C.

Can't see the knife under the seventeen layers of clothing I have on, but there's a BK11 under there somewhere. Here's a pic of it (same lake, different day):

Thanks again for the chance!

I'm all about that beef.
That's a sweet rig JD!
Thanks for the chance!
We've been having an unseanonably hot and dry summer here in the PNW...
Here's some of the last snow I saw.

These are all from my birthday hike; thankfully in NH, winter is a (somewhat) distant memory - soon to become a new reality in a few short months. Thanks for such a great GAW, JD.
