What is the Facebook group called? The dagger is a 2nd pattern Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife. There is a Facebook group(or many actually) devoted to these. If you still use that platform you could join and inquire about the markings.
My great grandpas parents were German immigrants. So he had cousins in Germany, in which many of them had fought for Germany in the Württemberg army. They gave him this saw back bayonet and it got passed down to me. He also has a ring I think you might be interested in seeing. The other knife I got was because my uncles friend died who was a weapons collector. Had his own gun/knife shop and he authenticated knives and weapon surplus for a living. His family didn’t want a lot of the stuff so he allowed my uncle to take some of his collectibles. My uncle ended up giving me the knife as a gift for my birthday on the 18th. But my uncle had gotten lots of stuff I could show you guys if you want. Now maybe the OP could tell us a little about how they were acquired...

Another interesting thing about my family is my grandmas British and her uncle fought in Al alemein against Erwin Rommel. My mom’s side I have civil war veteran ancestors some of which were wounded in battle. I have a family member who has some of the flags my family used in their unit. Maybe on Christmas I can get some photos of them.Let's see em! With a please, that is.
That's cool that you know a fair bit about your ancestors. That's something that you don't see much of anymore. Very cool knives!
That's really cool. I know that one of my ancestors also fought in the civil war, on the Union side.Another interesting thing about my family is my grandmas British and her uncle fought in Al alemein against Erwin Rommel.
