A knife fighting movie?

hey everybody, just had a question maybe a fellow knife enthusiast might be able to help me with. A while ago I saw a movie where a guy was walking the streets of either Rio, or Spain and witnessed a knife fight. This guy he saw fight was exceptionally well versed with the blade. He was so enthralled by his skill, he sought out to have the man teach him his art of knife fighting. The only major clue I have to go on is when the knife fighter finally gave in to teach him, he taped a star on a mirror to mimic the movements of the slashes, almost a sort of kata. Anyways i've been searching for anyone who can help me find the name of said movie so i can buy it. It was'nt a hollywood blockbuster or anything, which is why I've been having a hard time. Does this ring any bells at all? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Akira,
Welcome to Bladeforums!! :)
The movie you are talking about is "Exposure" with Peter Coyote.

Be advised that there is a second movie with the creative title "Exposure" which has a somewhat similar-sounding plot but no knife fighting. Professional photographer witnesses a crime, etc. If you just read the fifty-words-or-less blurb on the jacket, you might get 'em confused.

The other is made in Europe but supposed to be set in Seattle, Washington. They have some nice city-scape footage to set that scene, but they loose it in a lot of details. For example: in Seattle, they have American-style electrical 110V outlets which are typically 12-15 inches off the floor. In the film, they have European-style 220V outlets set about four feet off the floor. These are the sort of details that film makers should pay attention to.

Look for Exposure with Peter Coyote.

Thanks everyone.! I could not find it before. Now I ordered it on E-Bay for 5.99!
