Hey!! i am new to the form (and collecting knives for that matter) and i am looking for help on a little thing that i am doing. that thing is getting a useful knife for every day of a week.

So far i have;
Monday-my old trusty recon-1
Tuesday- Kershaw JYD II composite
Wednesday-Rajah III
Thursday-Mini AK-47
Friday- Spyderco Sage Carbon fiber

need help/suggestions on the last two. They just have to be well made and not super expensive.

Thank you ALL!!

Well, it would help to know what you do on your weekends? Looking at your choices, you seem to like sturdy, hard use knives. So, maybe for the weekend go in a different direction?

Sat-Leatherman Wave. You need a good multi-tool, and this is top of the line.
Sun- Kershaw Leek. This is a smaller, elegant folder that will go well with your fancy Sunday suit.

But really, without knowing what you plan to use them for, it is very hard to recommend knives!

i'm in the military and most of every day i am out working. they have to be multi-purpose, strong, and have some cool factor

you have already got CS, spyderco, and kershaw

so you need some benchmades!

try BM rift

Any thoughts on the spyderco Stretch Carbon Fiber?

The Stretch, whether its CF or FRN, is quite thin and lightweight, which makes it very easy to carry, for a 3.5" knife. Also worth looking at, for a really tough knife, is the Spyderco Bradley.

I am outdoors more on the weekends and being away from my office job, can carry something bigger.

Saturday - Spyderco Endura (waved) or Victorinox Trekker
Sunday - Kershaw Tyrade or Spyderco Manix 2 unless you want something small and nice for church etc., then a Buck Mayo TNT

Benchmade 710

Spyderco Endura 4 G-10 lock-back FFG

Cold Steel Ti-Lite 4"

Benchmade 940 / 943

Sneak a fixed blade in there like an Izula / RC-3 MIL / Street Beat

The Izula is always in my pocket! I just went to Wal Mart rocking an XM-24 but the Izula is there for the "I don't want to scratch my Hinderer" jobs.

This is my Sunday knife... Reese Weiland (he teaches Sunday school IIRC) proto Hybrid folder in CPM3V.

That's a cool looking knife Charlie Mike. What's up with some folders and fixed blades I've been noticing having that large swedged area above the tip - almost even with the rear spine area? Beter for slashing? Don't think so. Stabbing? Doubt it.
