A knife for less than the price of a pizza.

It's incredible the quality of knives you can find on the secondary market for the price of a pizza.

This Schrade cost me less than 15 buck and a little bit of time cleaning it. I'm really liking the steel and heat treat in these old Schrades and am amazed how inexpensively you can often buy them. A little attention and effort to clean them up, and they'll last a lifetime.

Looks like it's in good shape! Not bad for <$15! And made in "Merica!! I like the shield also...I think it's a federal shield. Nice pick up.

Those Schrade Waldens, pre Old Timer, are just fantastic knives. Nothing wrong with an OT either but the sawcut delrin gets old and swinden keys irk me a little.

Very nice... I rarely buy brand new knives. I usually only do when their is a limited production of something, and I don't want to wait for a used one to pop up. Besides, the older and used knives are a great buy, and a lot of them have already developed personalities.

That's amazing, what a lovely knife

Awesome. Great looking and very classic. Best part is that as it sits now it is exactly what it was all those decades ago. An affordable and excellent pocket knife suitable for being a man's steady and reliable companion in work and in play. That's about as classic American as you can get. It would be a good carry today as it was then.

That's a nice one. Their old school 1095, can get screaming sharp. Very impressive steel, given how low tech it is. For 15 dollars, that's a nice deal.

And a pre-73 to boot. That's a great score and will serve you well!

Leghog, well said, and great knife! I'm a big Schrade fan. With a little looking around, folks can find a nice knife at a good price--and it will last a lot longer than a pizza, too!

So I take it an older Schrade doesn't have the swinden key? I don't have any Schrades, and whenever I see one for sale, it has wobbly blades. I still want to get one someday, as I hear their carbon steel is great.
