A Knife For Me!

I`ve been slowly working on a set of knives for myself, getting tired of going out with my Buck 119 (everytime I make one for myself, I end up selling it. I`m sure a lot of the makers know the feeling) The set will consist of a Scout Jr, Hiker, and Hatchet, all with red micarta with black liners. The last knife will be a Kephart, in ebony. I finished the Scout Jr. this morning. Here it is in 3/16" O1.

Great looking knife as usual John, you know if ya gave it a slightly extended tang it would be a dead ringer for a Charles May OSK and that knife was the result of a poll stating what people look for in a survival knife !!!!

Yes, I`ll keep this one. It`s kind of embarassing when I go out with my buddies, who use my knives, and I whip out the old Buck!

Here are pics of both of them. The Hiker`s blade is 1" tall, Scout Jr. is 1 1/4" tall.
Hiker 8 1/4" oal, 4" blade (bearthedog photo)

Scout Jr. 9 1/2" oal, 4 3/4" blade

Almost like that kinda burgundy color some of the old Wenger SAKs come in. Neat. As a rule I don't like loud handles but that could grow on my quite easily.
