She EDC's the production knives I have given her over the years and i wanted to surprise her with her first custom. I grabbed on of Sean Ohares because hes a great guy, hooks me up and I get along with him well. Nice guy all around! Also owned one of his folders recently and the quality was impressive.. Not to mention that this knife was readily available.

Hopefully Emily will like this when she sees it. I don't have it in my hands yet but its coming. The hard part will be giving it to her!! Next I will need to get her something in damascus! Oh and don't ask me to have her chime in cause I doub't she will. But maybe I'll work on it. ;)

Blade is 2 3/4" making it legal in NY at under 3 inches. This is something that she had wanted. She hasn't and wont see photos till she gets the knife.

Nice indeed! I'm sure she will like it!

Kind regards,

Smart man. VERY smart.

On choice of style and the choice to present.

This extends affections in three directions: You, Emily, and Custom Knives!

Keep us posted.

Jon,

If you REALLY loved her, you would give her one of your Hansons......:p:p

Sean makes a very nice knife, and I'm sure she will like it a lot.

I agree with Coop - good way to get her feet wet in custom knives too !

Fine choice for your gift Jon.
You are so fortunate that you both share the same interest.

Very stylish knife.
Everything (the coice of knife and your thinking) done with finesse.:thumbup:

I have seen/handled that knife very nice. You will have one very happy daughter.

Jon Brand is in his twenties, and hasn't bred yet, afaik, lol.

His "girl" would be his paramour, not his daughter, amigo.

Thanks for giving me a serious chuckle!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Whoops! Funny, I know Jon, have met him a few times so should have known. Guess I'm just too old now to figure some things out, I think of my boys (three sons) and that's were my mind goes.

Mark- Funny thought!!

STeven, almost 31- so a sliver above my twenties. =) No one believes that when I tell them.

She is in her twenties.

Kevin, its not really that we share the same interest in terms of collecting, just using and carrying. She is not involved with the world of knives like we are as she does not follow them, collect or pursue them. This is simply a pocket tool for her (although she likes to think of it as a defensive weapon). However- she always allows me to rant about knives when I need to and appreciates the beauty involved.

Bill- Great minds think alike. I did inquire with Don about a bolsterless damascus piece. But I am not sure I love her enough to spend THAT kind of money! ;) ;)

Your Christmas gift may take a serious hit...LOL

Nice work, Jon. That is a folder that she should love. It's important to make the right moves with those special women.
