I was looking through the drawer the other day and ran across I knife I got awhile back in a trade. The knife came at a time when I got several other knives so it hadn't been carried much.

I haven't heard much on anybody's opinion on MOD products? I really like the knife, about the only complaint is the handle is just a little short. Other than that its a great knife.

my opinion is that they seem very nice, but they are prohibitively expensive*. kinda forces em right off my list.

(* = comparatively)

YES!!!! That's one of my favorites.
As for price, well, I got really, really lucky, and paid only $90 for each of mine (coincidently).
They are as tough as heck, and have great ergonomics to boot.
I personally call this knife my Sebenza replacement.

the trident is a great tool
great ergonomics and silky smooth action
if you're finding that the opening is not quite as smooth as the tempest, it could be due to differing hand sizes
i've used it as a prying tool to open ammunition boxes
cut some rope with it too (CE trident)
great EDC
use it, you'll like it

Walking Man, you got one hell of a deal!
At that price, i think it would be pretty tough to beat.
hey, if ya have multiples, might ya wanna share the love and sell me one for $90? :D

j/k as i'm sure ya don't wanna part with em.

edit:
Brownie, it's funny you mention the tests, i just read that last night :)

I don't really care too much for mine. The paint came off of the studs and the lock-up became better once I took the studs off. There is a little bit of vertical blade play but it really locks up well now. I also have the Hornet. Sturdy knives, but I still favor Microtech. :)
