Good evening everyone,
I am not new to knives, and am quickly falling in love with axes! My wife wants me to pick one for fathers day and I was thinking of the Gransfor Bruks double bit axe. I just love the look and versatility of a double bit axe. It will be a user around hunting camp. However, looking on line, some folks say there are better axes for the money?? I am pretty confused about this and don't want to make a mistake, as these are not cheap.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Wow, that Velvicut is real nice, and it is made in the USA! I know I mentioned a double bit, but they have some other good looking axes.

Thanks, really appreciate the input.

Charles, You may want to contact Operator (super collector)))) And see if he has any double bits for sale. You could get a great American or Canadian axe for much less than a new GF. Others here may also have some nice old pieces for sale.

Best regards and good luck

Robin

Thank you for the advice!

Just curious, now that I am looking at all of these different axes. How are the Condors?

The gransfors is a superb double bit. You don't have to get a gransfors to have a great axe, but if your family can afford it, you'll love it!
