a knife/sheath JUST Like that

This is a little OT, but I have a knife/sheath JUST Like that... only without the cross etching on the blade... I was given it by a passing relative and just assumed it was a hand made blade or a cheapo... I guess this means it probably isn't either... anyone wish to point me somewhere I can find out more about this blade?

This is an HI "Eighteenth Century" model. Last produced long before the passing of Uncle Bill.

(( Copied here from a sales thread, for information only. ))

Welcome to the Cantina!

It is probably a handmade blade, as most true khukuri are. Wether it's a cheapo or not will depend on a few factors. In order to properly identify your khukuri, you will need to post clear closeup pics of the handle, blade and overall knife as well as closeups of any markings that are on the blade.

I wonder if this one should be added to the "catalog" thread on the other page?

Perhaps the new owner will take a better pic and add it when he receives the knife.

The 18th century model is actually on the website, so it wasn't put into the "Missing Pages" thread.

OK, good.

I may have another one....that is one of a kind.
Will get back to you on that.
