I have some knives I carry and really like, Kershaw Needs Work,Chive and a small fixed blade.Question is, I have this Buck stealth folder that I really cant say I like , but seems as if it calls to me to carry it. Do any of you have a knife you really dont like but you feel bad for not carrying ?

Same here, I hate flipper models it seems no matter who makes them. BUT the Lahar is nice and its cheap, but extremely well made. I try styles and if I don't like them sell'em mostly at a loss or trade them. keepem sharp

my Buck Bantam

got it just to see what the quality was like, eh, I carry it to work or anywhere I feel I might beat the knife up more than I want. I also use it camping since I won't miss it if it's lost in the forest somewhere

Nope. To paraphrase:
"Life is too short to carry a knife you don't like."

I got some that I really like that don't see enough pocket time, though.

Nope. I become emotionally attached to my carry knives, and won't carry anything else.

Out of 300+ knives, I have exactly 3 designated for using. Plenty of the others are great knives and I like them just fine, just not for carrying.

No. If I decide a knife or pattern is no longer "for me", or if a knife hasn't seen alot pocket time, I generaly gift it away.

I do have some knives that have "value", ie ...odd Schrades, some that were my Grandfathers' etc...that don't see any pocket time. But I still like'em.

can you tell us what knives are those and why do you choose to carry them?
thanks!

Nope I like my 710, but I dont like the edge I have been able to put on it, so I dont carry it. I feel bad that I couldnt put a better edge on it.

usually I get these knives as gifts. My buddy has good taste in knives so when he gets me something it's good.but everyone else.not so much.I keep em cause they're gifts.

Sure thing.

My everyday pocketknife is a Schrade-USA 34OT. I like the pattern - the shape, size, and blade selection. It's identical to the first knife I ever owned, and my grandfather always had an OldTimer too. And I really love the carbon steel.

My work-outdoors-backpacking-hiking knife is an AG Russell Hunters Scalpel, the older version. Decent steel. Very lightweight, 0.8oz. Safe with no moving parts and a locking sheath. Durable. And relatively loss-proof because of the lanyard - tie lanyard to belt and slip knife in pocket.

The third knife is one that I carry but don't really need. But gosh-dangit, I just like it so much. It's an Opinel. Razor sharp carbon steel. A better slicer/cutter than any other knife on the market. And very traditional - they've been around for a hundred years or more.

Fourth knife that I'm considering, the new AG Russell Hunters Scalpel. Better steel than the old version, but I'm not yet sold on the more rounded handle shape or the lengthened blade. Will give it a fair try though.

The Benchmade 710HS. I've grown to prefre different handle styles, but the M-2 blade keeps telling me it should be used more often.

At least my 140HS sees it's fair share of carry.

I had three sm folders that were a gifts from co-workers who knew I liked knives . When I transfered I regifted them. If you have a knife you don't care for pass it own .

I enjoy the practicality of my Leatherman Wave but I don't like carrying it.

Every knife I own I like, and wouldn't mind carrying them. I am not sure why, but if at first I don't like the knife, if I carry it for a week or so, it grows onto me and than I like it.

I have like... 36 folders and i feel bad for not giving them all equal pocket time. I've just gotten stuck on assisted opening folders
