A Knut Meeting?

Anyone ever considered getting a Knut meeting together? I know that there could possibly some safety issues ( I mean, we do ALL carry knives) and definately an occasional Mall Ninja, but wouldn't that be kinda cool; Knuts uniting against the sheeple foe? Not only that but it would be GREAT to have someone not give me the deer-in-headlights look when I talk about my knives, steel, or anything besides the latest C/PPOS that someone picked up at a flea market.:mad:

Just a thought and would like to hear some feedback on the issue or a link to the archives if it's ever been brought up. Thanks in advance.:)
 
One of our Bladeforums members here in NJ, Eagleblade, asked why there are knife clubs elsewhere but none here, since it seemed like there were a lot of around here.

So I sent emails to NJ guys and we pooled suggestions on where and when to get together. We've been meeting the third Sunday of the month for two years now.

I think you can do the same thing. Look through BFC, pick out everyone with a location in FL, and copy down names and email addresses, then put together an invitation to write back and discuss meeting.

Would it be possible to get an invite in thread style from, you oh great moderator god? Just a thought, like one of them sticky things...
 
I am not a moderator, but I suggest you check with Ken Collucci at the Community Center forum. (He's also a member of the NJ Knife Collectors Association!)
 
on a related note, the NJ KCA is meeting this sunday at 1:00!

sweet and we have some HUGE Bark River knives for raffle!
