I've made a number of these, but I really feel like I'm coming into my own with the design and details of it. Inspired by RJ Martin, and coerced back into finishing the one I started after seeing Joe Paranee and Jason Knight's thread on J's take on these, I got off my butt!

5.5" blade double hollow ground of CPMS30v, with walnut and japanaese ito wrap. The spine of the blade has a traditional angled bevel - I'll try and capture a shot later.

Tell me what you think!

Thanks!

That's pretty sweet Matt. I don't generally warm to wrapped handles, but a wrap over wood - I can dig that. Good looking knife.

I dig it too. Liking the wrap over wood thang.

Thanks, guys!

Here's a different shot from another angle, with a different background. Funny how it impacts the 'feel' of the knife!

Very nice looking piece. Wrap does look rich over the walnut.

Fantastic!

Here's the final product after re-wrapping the ito and applying an epoxy sealer to keep it looking good!
