Here's a slipjoint that I made this weekend. It's my third and best one so far. The blade and backspring are both 1095. The handle is micarta with brass. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! -Ray Laconico

Wow, I have to say I like it a lot. When it comes to folders I am definitely into more simple designs and this one has a definite sleek look to it. Any chance any of these will eventually be on sale in the sale area?

Very well done! Your simple yet beautiful lines flow through the knife! It looks like a great user!

I agree, that's just a sweet looking knife in all aspects

Outstanding , looks like a great user.

Sort of a Sodbuster style , What are the dimensions ?

Very nice. :)

Thanks for all the comments. I appreciate them. I'll probably sell this after Christmas. I want to keep it for a week or two. The blade length is 3 1/4" and it's 1/8" thick.

My first guess at inspirations was soddie.

That's a really nice knife. love the lines and the simplicity.

Ray - This is terrific. Glad you are pursuing the Slips.
Best regards, Rick

I am lucky enough to be the guinea pig for this knife, I picked it up today for a few days of field testing. It has a good strong backspring, which is appropriate on a knife of this size. The edge is ground thin and it cuts cardboard well.

I have only had it in my hands for a couple hours, and I have also tried it on green apple wood and dry apple wood. It cuts well. I really like it. I only have a minor modification suggestion, which I will relay to Ray.

When he starts selling these, I'll be in line.
