Hello everyone! Just wanted some imput as far as a good EDC for a small statured lady. What would be your top 3 picks?

...a Leatherman Juice ; she also likes some of the SAKs...the smaller models. For a decent locking folder, I would recommend anything from Benchmade (for my wife and kids, they have Mini Griptilians) or Spyderco...such as the Delica, Native or even the little Dragonfly.

The wife really likes her Leatherman P4, carries it everywhere and uses it constantly at work and around the house.

My wife had a small locking Kershaw and a SAK on her keys. She uses that more than anything else.

I've found a lady can "get away" with using a knife in public that would raise eyebrows if a guy would use the same knife.

People expect well-dressed, classy, educated women to behave in a certain way. I gave my wife a Spyderco Cricket for EDC in her purse. She had to use it once on a train to open a package of snacks when the train broke down for several hours. This was in full view of everyone. I asked if anyone said anything. She said she expected someone to say something, but no one ever did.

On the other hand, many people think well-dressed, classy, educated men are simply overgrown boys full of mischief. If I pull out my own Cricket in public, it gets commented on. I've heard, "Hey can you KILL someone with that thing?" more than once to know not to use it in public. People are fascinated with the curved blade.

I've found I need to deploy a much smaller knife. I carry a Victorinox Midnite MiniChamp II and a Spyderco Jester. The mint-green color of the Jester, along with its diminuative size, does not attract attention, other than someone perhaps saying, what a cute little knife. Same with the MiniChamp.

A Spyderco Delica. They are light, inexpensive and not scary looking. My wife uses hers all the time.

Probably some at work, home, out and about. She uses it to cut coupons, open packages, cut food etc. Just like anyone else, she has realized the more you carry it, the more useful you find it.
On a side note, I will never understand the people who question why I carry a knife. They only view it as some sort of evil weapon, and not the functional tool that it is. I especially get a kick out of the people who need to cut or open something, ask who has a knife, then ask why you carry THAT thing?! Hello? Didn't you just ask for a knife? But I digress... Just a little side rant.

I'll see your side rant and raise you. :)

We were having a family get-together at Christmas. I was leaving the room to visit the necessary, when on my way out my brother asked to borrow "one of the 17 knives" he knew I had on me. I handed one over and continued on my way.

My mom said to him, why do you always ask him for a pocketknife. Why don't you carry one for yourself. His answer? Because I know Craig will have one. Therefore I don't have to carry one.

Personally, I never, ever count on anyone to be carrying anything I may need. The one time I'd ask for it is the one time they'd leave it at home. Then again, I am the paranoid one in the family. ;)

I gave my wife Spyderco Titanium Salsa that she keeps clipped in her purse. She has a Leatherman S4 that I put on her keyring along with an ARC AAA. She has gotten to the point that she just goes along with it, but I have caught her using the Leatherman more than once and the Ti Salsa a couple of times

The mini-grip would be a good choice as would be a sak. My wife finially settled on a medium CASE stockman with CV blades and does not seem the least bit interested in switching to anything else.

I'd recommend the Benchmade Mini Griptillian, they come in all sorts of colors.

I'm liking the looks of the Griptilian, but I still love my Spyderco Jester.

You said what I would have said, "Here you go, honey, consider it yours." :D
