A late introduction to a classic pattern

A couple weeks ago I came to the sudden realization that I have never owned or even handled the venerable Schrade 80T or 881. Oh the horror! Something had to be done to rectify this situation. So I went on a little shopping spree to see what I could come up with. Not only did I manage to quickly score a lightly used 881 and 80T but also an unused, beautiful green bone, rehandled 881 with an Old Timer shield! Probably paid too much for this one but it is my favorite of the bunch. All of these are now in the rotation with the 80T set to accompany me on a canoe/kayak poker run Saturday :D

Next up is the search for a nice Schrade Walden 881 and Schrade Cut. Co. model if they even exist. Might even finally venture into the currently uncharted waters of the vintage Case 5375/6375 ;)

Really nice set of schrades there. I made the same realization about the 61ot pattern recently. Trying to find one of those currently.

I've never tried any of those, but they do get rave reviews! Keep us posted on your thoughts.

Jamie, that green bone 881 is a perfect one to carry, I'm jealous! About five months ago I scored a mint in box Schrade Walden 881Y from 1975.

This one is too nice to carry, and will be an heirloom in my family. I'd love to find one like yours to use.
