We've seen some funny attempts to get us to come up off our personal data, linking us to scam artists who don't bother to get convincing translations of their work into English.

This one reads much better, although the format is still too flat, too plaintext, to be really convincing. Stay alert! (I xxx'd some text to disable the links.)

This one was addressed to Dear Client and didn't even reference a particular bank by name. They don't get credit for trying hard enough! I just deleted it.

Mete, I do agree if they purport to come from a legitimate organization, you should notify that organization. One of these bums pretended to be my ISP. I forwarded that e-mail to the ISP with my suspicions. Shortly thereafter, they sent out an e-mail warning to all their customers about it.

I send those jerks phony information.

I laugh when I think of some pencil dicked geek trying to use the phony info to hack into a bank. :D

I've had "requests" like that to "update" my account information from "Citibank" several times - with all the right graphics, logos, etc., etc. Looked VERY legit! The legitimate Citibank website even has a warning about these scams! I just delete them. :)
