hi everybody !

I have a small question.

I hesitate to buy a slipjoint of the mark Tidioute in this kind.

I find that they have a side old authentic American pocket knife which pleases me a lot.
But I have never seen or had in hands this kind of knives.
Qualities is her maid? Think you that it is worth for the prize? No blade play ? good finition ?
I do not like too much the logo on the blade, it goes disparaitre with the patina?

I thank you for the answerd!

phacochère, Tidioute is a terrific knife---at least the ones I've owned. Fit and Finish have been great and the logo disappeared entirely on mine as the patina developed:thumbup:

Here's my #66 Serpentine Jack with green bone. It is a great knife and one I carry often, I doubt you'll be disappointed at all with which ever one/ones you choose:cool:

I can also offer a good recommendation for these knives. As you can see from Paul's photos above, the logo on the blade does go away as the patina forms. The Tidioute/Northfield/GEC brands are, I think, some of the best production pocket knives made in the US.

rockgolfer,

Thanks a lot for the review

And many thanks Paul for the picts and the comments.

Now I even more want one of them knives!

Thank you for this precious help Bwperdu

If you have of good address of on-line store I am accepting (delivery in Europe)

That might be the tricky part for you. I know that most of the dealers I use do not ship internationally. Maybe some of our other European members can provide you with some guidance there.

A UK dealer stocks a limited range, but prices are high here.

I can assert that GEC are of a highly consistent quality, more reliable than their current competitors. I trust them.
I'll send you a visitor message later on recommending a dealer who delivers to the EU so why not Switzerland too.
Any other GEC models you are interested in?

Thanks, Will

Just send me a PM/email with your email address, so I can give you info on the dealers I have bought from (I live in Switzerland too).
If you want to handle a GEC before you buy one I could even send you one of mine to check out if you're interested.

A GEC is one of my dream knives! I live in Kenya right now so I may have to wait till Im stateside. Ive heard nothing but good things about them!
