A little 50th Bday money.

So my 50th Bday was this last weekend. Got some extra cash. Need some input if you guys have survived your weekend. I have looked at the line up and the ones on my list are a BK2 or BK7.

How many other Beckers do you have? do you have a BK9, BK4, or BK16/17?

The 2 is more balanced and thicker and the BK7 has a thinner grind and is longer. Without any context I'd say it'd be hard to compare the both of them. I think the 7 does more knife-related jobs better than the 2, but the 2 feels better in the hand.

Happy Birthday! Depending on what you already have, I'd say the 9 or the 21. I know, not what you had in mind. OK, the 7, then. But get the 9 if you don't already have it. And if you do, then you should really be looking at the tweeners, IMO. 16's a good compliment to the 9 or 7.

If you don't already have a 9, get that. You need a BK9. You can't not have a 9.
