hey everybody
this is a knife i forged a while ago from a old Nicholson file. I got into the Blade forum KITH and then got stuck with a project at work that had me working 12 hour days and weekends for a month.. so since i had this forged and heat treated i finished it up in time for the deadline.

steel from an old Nicholson file, ground to a shobu-zukuri profile, hand polished, hitatsura hamon, resin soaked green silk ito, and burl bark menuki.

i think it came out pretty good. after the pictures i resin soaked the wrap and made a kydex sheath for it, but i dont have pictures yet, so i will add those soon.
please let me know what you think.

I think it looks real good! Love the curve of the knife to the tip. Nice hamon as well!

you need to build yourself a light box my friend.
Very handsome knife there, interesting indeed!

Beautiful blade and Tsukamaki.
I think that you are one of the most talented forged blade maker.
I am looking forward to seeing your future work.

Thanks everybody!

i am really glad you like it. It is a really nice sized knife, balances and really sharp.
the dimensions on it are:
12" OAL
7" Blade
1.25" at the widest,
and about .25" thick.

and a picture of the sheath:
