A little big knife?

Just a need for some advice. I am looking for a new EDC, and like 3.5 blade(or a little shorter), but also like a slim handle so my pocket isn't filled up. The mini grips are nice, but I wish they were a little longer. Benchmade Osbornes in the 940 series are awesome, but I am trying to be a bit budget minded with the holidays coming up. If I cannot find any options I have not thought of yet, I will probably go with a full size Grip (and be quite happy with that). Or I will suck it up and pay the 180 for an Osborne. So the criteria: minimum 3 inch blade, but hopefully closer on the side of 3.5, slim handle, length not that important, steel: vg-10, 154cm, sv30 or anything I am not thinking of that would be good in the following use. Use: EDC but I am outdoors A LOT these days. I do not have a ton of money to throw in this knife hobby thing so I want to get the most bang for my buck.

*Thanks guys. I am new to the forums and I really do appreciate the more experienced knifenuts "learning me a thing or two." I am sure you have seen me lurking around the forums, putting in my two cents. But mainly I have been picking your brains, or posts that is, trying to learn what I can. So know all your rambings and rants are valued.

Check out the Spyderco Endura. It's a larger version of the Delica, which I have and I think is a classic, solid, good value knife. Have mini-grip too, and think the Delica is better b/c has longer handle.

If you shop around online, you should be able to find the 940 series Osbornes for well under 180-more like 115 plus shipping. Check out New Graham Knives, Grand Prarie, or Sooner State knives:)

Thanks for the input ya'll. I think the Osborne is a bit much of an investment for me (even though I REALLY want it and will probably end up getting it for tax time). I ended up going with an Endura Wave CE with Gray FRN handles. Was able to snag it on Ebay for 45 bucks including shipping. How'd I do? It may be a bit bigger than I anticipated buying, but I will get used to it. First Spydie for me, but I have handled many.

I LOVE the Osborne Benchmades. You can get them for a lot cheaper than $180 too...

Ever think of the Benchmade 710? Its on the large side, but D2 is sweet and it is a slicer! Also durable too. A classic. Real slim in the pocket. Usually can find it for around $100 too.

Something a little cheaper? Kershaw Blur...or the Blur S30V if you like. Awesome blade for the money.

The Kershaw Cyclones are being discontinued and can be had now for $30. It is an absolute steal. The mini Cyclones are going for $25. Either one is great.

Oh, and the veritable Wal-Mart Spyderco Native for $40. S30V steel, made in USA. Great deal, but the FRN handles are a bit cheesy feeling, and the pivot is not adjustable. I carry mine all the time to work as a high quality beater blade.

Edit:: Nevermind. Just read your follow up post....I need to pay more attention....

Yeah, I had looked at the benchmades hard and long....love that axis lock. I ended up with the Endura simply by running across it for such a good price. Kershaws I looked at, but in the past have had a few bad experiences with surface rusting on the Ken Onions. Great warranty and customer department, but not so great on the surface rust. So for now it is the Endura wave, hope I like it. The runners up were the Osborne 940 series or a Grip 550HG. Economics made the decision for me. Thanks for your input though.
