As I was fetching some firewood in tonight I decided to do a little chopping comparison between my SRKW Chopweiler and my JK Knatchet !
First a shot of them both together, as you can see the Chopweiler is slightly longer and made from 1/4" stock compared with the Knatchets 3/16" stock......
After 100 ( give or take a few) chops with my Knatchet I had this....
And the same amount with the Weiler gave me this....
Nothing really in it eh ! I inspected the edges after and there were a couple of minute dings in the edge of the Knatchet ( almost too small to see but could be felt with a finger nail), I gave the Knatchet 10 swipes each side on some wet and dry and the dings were gone and blade shaving hairs on my arm with ease again !
I feel with the Knatchets slicing ability it is a more usefull all round tool.
Anyone looking for an indestructable survival knife will not be dissapointed with a Chopweiler though !!!!
