A little clip swap that worked out great - Small Insingo vs. Ti-Lock

With my first gen Ti-Lock sporting the Gull Wing shorty clip, I had a Ti-Lock clip lying around. I had tried it on the 25 at one time, but the proportions didn't look right to me. I tried it on my small Insingo and instantly liked it. I think it somehow fits the lines of the knife, maybe even better than it does on the Ti-Lock. The point of the clip points towards the tip of the blade, so there is a little "flow" to the end result. The little extension at the back of the clip give a little more real estate on the small 21 handle as well, which is good. At the end of the day, you cannot beat the original CRK Sebenza Clip. This mod is not an upgrade in functionality, but it made my small Micarta Insingo a bit unique, which has inspired me to carry it the last week or so. Once you get used to the way the Ti-Lock clip works, it is fine. Not as secure as the original clip, but secure enough in most situations.

I whole heartedly agree! LW did this switch before, and I really liked it. I would definitely love to get one of the GW clips when work permits...
 
Hey send me a small sebenza clip and I will try it too.

Kidding aside I am thinking of trying it too and I actually love the look of your small with the ti lock clip.

Just to clarify, Bellasblades, the clip on my Ti-Lock is a custom clip by forum member Gull Wing, so it's not a true swap between the two. I think you know that, but someone else out there might be confused.

What's different about it?
 
I love that the stonewash Ti is getting used... I put a Seb clip on mine too,,,
