A little color for your Sebenza palate

Some of you have seen some of my carbon fiber and Ranger Green G-10 Sebenza scales that I've done over the last few years. I do love C/F, but I was interested in doing something a little more organic and colorful. Here is a trio of large regular Seb handles I've just finished. The Red and Orange are sculpted, while the yellow one is flat. All three have been coated with a special urethane that keeps the handles glossy and the color intact, even with hard use.

I'm open to constructive criticism, please let me know what you think, one way or the other. Thanks!

Delicious! :D

Your work is always spectacular. This really nails it.
They all look good but I have to say I like the orange best.

An orange Sebbie? That really sounds sweet! Nice job on those, really impressive looking.

Interesting, but is it still a Sebbie? You changed one of the handle slabs, and you even changed the blade itself.

It reminds me of an old Robert Graves quote - "This is my grandfather's axe: my father fitted it with a new stock, and I have fitted it with a new head."

As always, I think your stuff looks great.

My initial take is that the grooved texture works better on the Ti than the G10. Not saying I specifically dislike it on the G10, but there you have a lot of color, which I think tends to compete with the texture to an extent.

So… if I were going into Imelda Marcos mode with my Sebenza slabs, I’d probably send you a Ti blank to groove, and then snag an assortment of colored G10 iterations with just a blast texture.

I love that line. I even changed the quote itself:

This is the axe my grandfather made:
my father replaced the handle,
and I replaced the blade.
