I thought I'd dress this one up a bit, since it was going to Little Rock.
(Then some guy asked me what I was taking and bought this one before I could get it done. Better make another one.)
I've got a nice little collection of 1" square 5160 made back in 1984 that makes an awesome knife. So that's how this one started.
Polished frame, stabilized curly maple and hot-blued Damascus bolsters.
The full tang handle is mill mortised up to the front edge of the bolsters and tapered.
Fun. ;)

Karl,
This is sweet! I know many people don't like the Brut de Forge style but I do and this piece is an example of a beauty. Most people probably don't understand the amount of forging control that the maker has to demonstrate in order to make a knife like this correctly. Thanks for sharing. I didn't see your name on the San Antonio list so I'm sorry I won't get to see you there. Hope you have a great show in Little Rock.

Thanks, Mike.
This knife is so comfortable to hold, I can't believe anyone not liking them!! ;)

If I had San Antonio on my show list, too, I'd be a dead man by June.
