I had some scrap pieces of 1084fg and rather than throwing them away I decided to try and forge some small blades. Used white tail antler tines for handles. They will be gifts for two young hunters to go on their hunting bags.

Thanks for looking.

I love small (3 finger) hunters! Are you going to do some with guards? It would not only look great, it would also make the tools safer for young (or any) users.

I field dress all my deer with knives no bigger. Love those little knives. Great job!!

Very cool knives!

Those are probably as much or more useable than something like a Bowie. You know a Bowie is cool but darn hard to skin out a deer with it!

They would work great for a patch knife for a black powder shooter!

Thanks everyone. They have created a lot of interest on the muzzle loading sites I visit. I plan to keep them simple to keep the cost down. When I use a knife this small, my index finger is on top of the blade and the handle is cupped in my palm. Not much chance of slipping this way.

There's nothing wrong with small blades.
They also come in very handy in and around the house.
