a little disappointed....rainbow leek

well I had ordered two rainbow leeks, one was fine the other had a blade problem. The spine of the blade was spotted. Evidently it looks like the finish never took to some spots on the spine, leaving bare metal. much like a poor gun blueing job.

I talked to Dawn at kershaw and she said they will replace the blade for me, so we'll see how it goes!!!

I ordered a Black Chive, and the black finish didn't take to most of the spine. It looks like black TImascus though (Black with bare metal shiney wavy lines through it), and I kinda like it as a "unique" feature, so I'll keep it.
 
mine actually has round bubbled places on the spine that are raised up, and have bare metal in the middle of them, theres a line that goes for most the blade. you can catch the very tip of your finger nail in them.
Its pretty unsightly, I have another one thats just fine.
 
Sorry to hear that Rev_Jch, a Rainbow Leek can be found on my want list as well. I hope everything works out. I never hear much about Kershaws CS, so I guess now is our chance. Take Care :)
 
kershaw costomer service is actually pretty good. I deal with them about once a month for warranty info and stock availability for special orders, because I work in knife retail. Every time I ended up leaving a message or sending an e-mail, they have been very prompt in replying. Also, they have some pretty friendly staff.

well I had talked to their customer service, Dawn there said that if I sent it to her she would see the blade was replaced (as they were behind on production, but the blades were available) and sent back before x-mas. Ive dealt with them in the past with really good results. This is actually the second time ive sent a knife to have a blade replaced in the last two years. Their knives are very high quality, and just like anything else nothings perfect. It definitely will not keep me from buying any of their other products, I have many kershaw knives with no complaints. It was dissappointing tO have that happen, but they are goingout of their way to help me!!! :D !!!!!
