A little family hike

Did a little loop hike with the Daughter and her family yesterday. It was a glorious day and had a blast with the grandkids.

There was a lot of blond hair on this hike. That color is long gone for me.

An amazing discovery. The girls would have been perfectly happy staying right there.

Kay's BK15 is a constant companion on the trail.

Found a great spot for lunch.

A little work with her dad's BK2.

And Mom borrowed it to make a quick hiking stick.

The lake was really down but still a pretty place.

The kids took off after a flock of coots.

They got a rock skipping lesson from a pro...

Found all kinds of tracks..

And of course the "end of hike sunset leaf toss"

It was a perfect day for it and Kay and I had a blast with the babies. :thumbup:

It's kind of dumb I suppose, but we always do it. We had to throw sage in Montana.

They are 8 and 6. My son has two boys 5 and almost 2.

You just can't beat a day spent in the woods and enjoying what most people in years gone by had as an everyday routine with there family but now days it is mostly work and hectic days.* Looks like you all had a great day though and in the end that is what counts.! You will look back at those Pic's in the future many times and wish those days were still around.
