Since my fall back option for bugging the h_ll out of here if one of the nuclear plants goes south is to exit through my back yard and cross a high rocky ridge on foot, I take my youngest to the side of one of the local ridges for experience with rock crawling. The shelter rock at the convergence of three small streams has been one of my favorite spots, and somewhat of a zen garden for me for several years, and is now one of her favorite spots. So this was our Sunday daddy daughter time.
Showing off her strong muscles upon arrival when I asked her if she was ready to climb. She has no idea that's a rare Becker she has around her neck...and wouldn't know what that really meant if she did...
On the way up.
Showing me the right way
I won! I'm the king of....king of....of this rock!
Playing on the ledges
And as always, playing in the water
My knife for the day, more pics of it from today once I go through them.
A quick snack, she definitely inherited her mom's WTF look...
Some exploring
Then time to head down the hill and go warm up with some hot chocolate at Rembrandt's
