Since my fall back option for bugging the h_ll out of here if one of the nuclear plants goes south is to exit through my back yard and cross a high rocky ridge on foot, I take my youngest to the side of one of the local ridges for experience with rock crawling. The shelter rock at the convergence of three small streams has been one of my favorite spots, and somewhat of a zen garden for me for several years, and is now one of her favorite spots. So this was our Sunday daddy daughter time.

Showing off her strong muscles upon arrival when I asked her if she was ready to climb. She has no idea that's a rare Becker she has around her neck...and wouldn't know what that really meant if she did...

This is what it's all about. Great thread my friend. I sure do wish my back yard was like that. ;)

Awesome post and pics. Great to see fathers getting out with their daughters. I plan on taking my daughter out when shes a bit older (shes only 8 months--gotta wait til shes at least 1.lol)

Good for you Mist. Wouldn't it be nice to have the energy of our little ones. Sure looks like a good day.

Very nice! Mine are much older now. Enjoy it while you can. The time really fly's and before you know it they're all grown up.

Awesome pics, looks like yall enjoyed yourselves! very adorable!

I also wish my backyard was like that, i have to drive a couple hours just to find some peace, and enough room for my kids to act a fool.

looks like a lot of fun. way to "teach the children well." thanks for sharing.

Looks like she has grown a foot taller this year. Great pictures and good times with your daughter.

Thanks man.

Thanks guys! Yes she is definitely a spitfire with more energy than she knows what to do with...but I know good ways to let her use some of it :D My oldest will be 20 on her next birthday so I know how fast it goes by, I spend as much time as I can with this one...I'm too old to go through this again :)

Awesome pics cant wait until my little girl is old enough to tag along (turns 1 on the 10th). They will always remember those daddy daughter days.

Great, great post my friend! To me, what we learn and know, isn't worth a damn, if we dont pass it on to our children. Great pics, great post, great job!

Man that's just awesome . Brings me back a years ago when me and my doughter did the same things . Go for hikes in the woods go fishing do all the outdoors stuff that we love doing . Now she is growing and doesn't find it as much fun as going to the mall . My son like doing these thing and I love going out with him it's just that I miss those days with my doughter . I wish I did what you did bring the camera for those great memories you are creating. Enjoy

Great pictures. This move is pure tradewater.

it's like her feet don't touch the ground sometimes . amazing pics as always mist !

Mist, your pictures are awesome as usual. Course having a subject you like is always helpful :D

Your kid is precious and precocious I'm guessing, if she's anything like her dad.

Thanks for sharing, looks like a fantastic day.
Any day in the woods is a good day, especially if you can pass some knowledge on (unbeknownst to the learner of course :D)
