I've gotten the "have to have it nows" for some knives, only to find out that for my pretty easy EDC wear and tear, they are junk and don't hold up. Some have totally blown my mind in how good they are, but I just don't have the spending money to buy one before I know how it works. Below are two lists of knives that I am interested in buying. These are both knives that I will use, and knives that will be dress carry/shelf knives. Any input is appreciated.
DRESS KNIVES
Cold Steel Laredo Bowie, AG Russell quince wood lockback 2-334CQ, Spyderco Persian, any Randall knives, Kershaw clad blade.
KNIVES TO BE USED
AG Russel Sea Master; Cold Steel Trailmaster, Ozark Hunter, Ultimate Hunter, Bird and Trout fixed; CRKT Corkum First Strike 2706, M21-14, Convergence, Serengeti Hunter, Bwana; Lone Wolf Harsey Ranger; SOG Twitch XL, Flash II; Spyderco Assist I w/ carbide tip, Catcherman, Spyderhawk and a replacement Delica (my current EDC).
Some of these knives, like the Trailmaster and the Sea Master will be hard use knives, the Trailmaster for camping and the Sea Master for boat work. Thanks for your input.
