I was looking to get two knives for hunting purposes. I want a skinner & a little larger blade, no more than 4 in. I was looking at the Knives of Alaska combo set with the Alpha Wolf (in D2) & Cub caper (440c). I was also looking at two of the Gerber Freeman knives, drop point & caper, in S30V, with the stag handles. I was wondering if anyone had any input on these ,or possibly another set, it would be greatly appreciated. BTW my price range is around $150 for a set. Thanks in advance for your help

ESEE-4 and Izula would be a great combo. Meets your price requirements as well.

You might look at the CRKT Onion skinner and the Buck Omni Hunter knife. The Buck Paklite series are nice knives at a reasonable price, also.

I have the Alpha Wolf and love it good hunting knife like it better than my Buck Alpha way better edge and edge retention.

It seems like you got a good idea of what you want but for close to that you can get a custom maker to make you a set of what you want :) http://www.michaelmorrisknives.com/current.php

oh and look at the knives of bob dozier they are just so pretty i have one of his fillet knives and it is amazing ;) it gives you something to drool over :)

KOA has a pretty good rep tho so it doesnt seem like you could go to wrong
