Hey guys good evening I'm looking at a AG russell war eagle knife and I'm not sure if I should pull the pin. The fact of a chines blade doesn't bother me so it's not that it's just that I haven't heard a lot about them reviews are scarce online so I figured I'd pick your brains and experience. They seem well made but you know pictures can be deciving and without ever holding one is the reason I'm here. So if you have any experience with these knives or have held and used one please chime in. I would love to hear more about them because they look great thanks guys

Thanks GT that thread really helped out I think I'm going to pull the pin. Really stunning reviews on his customer service and quality control. And to me that matters a lot on how a man or a company will treat or go for the customer.

You're welcome, Keith. :) If you get one, I hope you'll show it off on "The Porch"!

You could always visit his shop in person to see the quality for yourself. I'd like to personally inspect his War Eagle lineup also.

His staff are second-to-none when it comes to being knowledgeable and helpful, either in person or on the phone.

Yeah I would go in a minute if AR was even close to Chicago like 3 hours out max lol

I like "pull the trigger" instead of "pull the pin".
Hand grenades make a mess.:D

Arkansas. AR. :D
And it's northern Arkansas, so it can't be too from Chicagoland. Actually, I used to drive it all the time.

Don't worry, as a native Arkansan, I can tell you we're used to having to make that correction. I saw a group from Arkansas on America's Got Talent a while back, and even NBC got it wrong and put AK.

Chicago to NWArk still a pretty good drive, 9 or 10 hours.

Regarding AG Russell's Chinese-made knives, every one I've handled has been of impressive quality. I think you'll be happy with the one you ordered.

A.G. is most likely the one person I'd feel great about buying from sight unseen. HIs reputation in the knife industry is impeccable and beyond reproach. If there is any problem at all with the QA of anything he sells, He will make it right or just refund your money. A.G. is the most standup guy in the business. I think he even advertises if you don't like it, send it back.

Bottom line is, if it's good enough for A.g. to sell it, then it's good. Period.

Same experience here. I have several of the Chinese-made A.G. Russell brand knives and they are all excellent quality. As far as the War Eagle brand is concerned, I only have a stockman, but it is a well-made knife.

I've met him, shaken hands, talked with him, been to his shop, dealt with his staff, bought knives from him, and would have to agree with what Carl says. If it's good enough to be sold by him, it's good.
