I was just wondering if anyone can help me identify this Camillus knife. I have had it for years and now am wondering what it is. Thanks in advance,

Adam

Thanks for the information. I am guessing that this is not the original handle. Not 100% sure. Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Thanks,

Adam

Might be the angle of the picture but the handle does not look straight to the blade. I'd guess its been added.

This knife is a model #5733 Pilot Survival Knife. The handle has been replaced. The original handle was made of stacked leather washers. If the blade measures 5" length then it was made between 1962 and 1967.

Looks like 6" blade (about 1958-1961) and Type I 6" sheath missing keeper strap. Not issue handle, but looks very well done. Could be "theater." Can you tell if it was an early screw pommel? They were easy to replace the handles on, which is also why there are so many fake Marble's PSKs around. This would date the blade toward the earlier date.
