I just want to start by saying I love spyderco knives, I have tried out a bunch of different brands and I have determined that spydies are the easiest to open. That aside, I wondered if someone could give me some help. I know spyderco does complimentary sharpening if you return the knife- I have a Endura II SS and I was wondering if there is any way to take some of the scratches out of the blade. I was learning how to use the whetstone on the blade and it now has some pretty good vertical scratch marks on it. I also have some burrs in the blade now. I really am inept at sharpening my knives, I have been looking to buy the best idiots sharpener, but I havent found one. So I figured I'd just send it back to Spyderco and see what they can do with it. If I do send my knife back how long will I be without it??
Thanks for listening

Hi Z. Welcome to the Spyderco forum and thanx the kind words.

The 204 works well. Also, the factory will resharpen for you. We can buff out some scratches, depending on how deep they are.
