I don't know if this is the correct part of the fourms to ask this, but please bear with me...

Back in '92, I aquired a Tomcat, cocobolo handles, nail nick, back lock, with a number stamped on the bolster (327). It as my EDC till a few years back. Its in good used condtion (Alan Wood a top British maker mopped it up for me last year). Any guesses as to trade value... just "guestimates"...I won't hold any one to any thing, just wondered if the numbers ment anything. Any thoughts would be very welcome. :D

Cheers

Hi Guru,

I'm far from a "collectibles" expert on used knives. My rule of thumb on a true collectible SOGs (a rare SOG item) in mint condition is twice original retail. In nice but not "mint" (with box, etc.), maybe equal full retail. I'm guessing that full retail back then on your model was about $130 USD.

It really comes down to what someone will pay.

What I'm going to do is point you in a direction that will give you a much better direction. Post your request in the Bernard Levine Forum. He's the expert. I'm far, far from it.
