Its been awfully hot here in the midwest the last few weeks but I managed to get this order worked up and ready to ship between the sweat drops. My smithy is out side under cover but its so dry I had to run a garden hose because my yard kept catching on fire from the grinding sparks when I was grinding the damascus billet between forge weldings. I sure hope we get an early fall.
OAL - 14 3/8" with a 9 3/8" blade. All damascus is W pattern with a nice piece of Ironwood. Sheath is snake inlayed with deer skin lining. Thanks Brian Thie for the help with the sewing machine, worked pretty dog gone nice.

Thanks for looking,

Bill

Bill, nice work throughout, cannot fault it, love everything about the knife. It would make a great addition to any collection!!

Doesn't get any finer than that! Doesn't get too much hotter around here in June, either...;)

great looking knife Bill. love the damascus escutcheon also. guard style not my favorite but overall this is one great looking knife. very good photos too.

Nice, Bill! A wonderful package. Glad you didn't start any fires! We finally got some rain tonight. It has been bizzare weather this year, for sure. I was about ready to figure out how to turn my lawn mowers into additional fans.

Thanks guys for the kind words, they are truly appreciated.

Joe, I started the yard on fire and I'm sure gave the neighbors quite a show stumping it out :D, thats when I unrolled the garden hose and I still started the yard on fire. Those grindings really go farther then you think and in this dryness it doesn't take much. I've only mowed my yard 1 time in over 2 months and that was just before the Blade show. We seen the dark clouds over your way yesterday evening but all we got was a cool breeze for about 5 minutes, no moisture at all and none in the near future according to the weather man. :(

Wow! I am drooling! What a beautiful knife and beautiful craftsmanship right down to the damascus inlay in the ironwood handle and the damascus butt plate.

Great looking package there Bill. Love the damascus and the ironwood. That will make a happy customer.
Isn't summer wonderful, the burning grass, the sweat dripping onto your blades, and looking at your shop thermometer and realizing it is reading 104.
Love the knife.

Thank you guys,

Brion, The older I get the more I dislike the really cold or hot. The local radio station said this morning that we've had high temperatures every day over 95 since june 4th and temps over 100 every day since june 24th. Now you'd think a person with any brains at all would save their money and try to move to a nicer climate or at least take a short vacation to one. I suggest you throw that thermometer away, you really don't need something telling you how hot or cold you are.:D But knifemakers were never known for their vast intelligence thats why most would rather spend their vacation money on ivory instead of sandy beachs, fishin lures and cold beer. I just hope God has a place for the insane knifemakers in heaven. :D

Man that is one great looking knife and your damascus is fantastic looking.I agree with the heat here in the south its been over 100, plus the high humidity its killing me.
